It's School Time again!

I always wondered why parents were ready for summer to be over by the second week in, but now I have a clear understanding of why that it so!! Just buy me a white and black striped shirt and call me a referee!!! But we did do some great things this summer...best of all was the reunion!
Tyler started first grade at a new school and is doing awesome! He loves that he has Spanish class and is constantly speaking spanish to me and doing his math reading the numbers in Spanish. He already has 3 good friends, but says that he isn't friends with the girls because they hug him a lot! Soon that won't sound so bad to him!!!
Jared started school as well. He isn't 5 until December so he missed the deadline for Kindergarten, but the school close to our house has a Early Kindergarten class he is going to. It is only 2 and 1/2 hours a day, but it is really good for him. He is having a hard time not having his older brother there as his safety net. It will be so nice next year when Tyler can be there to help him feel more comfortable. But it is also good for Jared to have this opportunity to come out of his shell a little. On Friday I picked him up from school and he said, "Mom, I have homework this weekend...isn't that great!"
Nate is often wandering around wondering what in the world he is suppose to do without his older brothers home to entertain him. I have to admit that I like going to the grocery store a lot more now!

As a parent, I finally understand the appeal of year-round school.

Jarom decided to develop a sense of self the past two months, and so he lets Ethan get to him...nothing but teasing all day long. I love school! Ethan just started 1st grade yesterday and he is loving it! But I think I love him in all day school more. :)
