Visit with Papa and Grandma Susan

Fred is out of the country...yes COUNTRY... for 9 days and so my dad and step-mom came to stay with me for a few days so I wouldn't be so lonely. We had a great time! We ate some great food, watched some great sports and went to the Goldfield Ghost Town. The boys had a blast at the Ghost Town but were a little disappointed that the Gun Fighters aren't there until November. So we will go back with Daddy then. Nate loved going on the train ride and Tyler and Jared loved the reptile exhibit... that part just made me grateful for pest control!!!! Thank you Papa and Grandma Susan for an awesome visit!!! We love you!

Tell Me How You Feel Derrick! Don't Hold Back!!!

Derrick had a very frustrating mishap at one of Tyler's baseball games this year. He came over to me at the bleachers where I was watching Ty's game and said, "I HATE THAT GIRL!" Let me remind you he is 2 and just now starting to speak in full sentences, so I was a little suprised at the vehemence that oozed from those four words. I looked at him and said, "Excuse me? What did you just say?" He again repeated, "I HATE THAT GIRL!"
I looked over at one of the other players mother and she was laughing really hard. I asked her if she saw what had happened. Apparently, a herd of kids were running around the area behind the bleachers, Derrick was 1 of the herd and the youngest. Derrick tripped and fell and the kids were running so fast that 1 of the girls couldn't veer away from him in time and basically ran him over. Sooo... as a result... HE HATES THAT GIRL!!!

Kids Say The Darndest Things

Mom: "Nate, please pick up the blocks before you go downstairs."
Nate: "I don't have time for that Mom!"

Mom: "We don't have a chimney, how do you think Santa is going to get in our house?"
Jared: "I think he dresses up like Daddy, knocks on the door and walks in saying 'Hi, I'm your dad!"

Mom: "Nate, you are bothering your brothers. Just zip it!"
Nate: "I don't have a zipper!"

Mom: "Nate, please go put the puzzles downstairs."
Nate: "Uggghhh...you're making me lose my mind!"

I just finished steaming the carpet in my living room and Nate started to pee in his pants. Here's what happened:
Mom: Nate! Don't pee on the carpet! Run to the tile!
Nate: Sorry Mom, I can't move! I'm peeing!

Nate: What's that sound?
Mom: The wind
Nate: Oh, I better plug my ears!

Jared: Look at the nest I made for my animals.
Mom: Wow... that's a neat nest. Let's go look where you got those pretty leaves.
Mom: Let's not use the fake tree anymore for making nests. The leaves you take off don't grow back. What do you think of how the tree looks now?
Tyler: It looks sad!
